A RELEASE OF RARE DISTINCTION
Mountain Angel 14 Year is the distillery's oldest liquid release to date. Fourteen years at 5,280 feet asks something of a barrel. Every barrel makes an offering to the heavens – its angel's share – and a mile above sea level, the angels are closer and thirstier. What is left is smaller in volume and deeper in character. It is then finished in rare Tokaji casks from Hungary’s Tokaj region, one of the oldest wine regions in the world. The finish lends honeyed depth and dried orchard fruit to a whiskey already shaped by fourteen Colorado winters.
